Roses Are Red

There is a great tutorial on Cake Journal on how to make the small rose above.  It's very simple!  Just take a small ball of fondant or marzipan, roll it out onto a thin, flat strip.  Start on one end, and roll it up to make a rose!  I used different size roses to make things more interesting.   I liked not having and leaves because it made things simpler, but the above tutorial has now to make a leaf from fondant.  You can also use a leaf tip and use icing.    And that's it! Classy rose cupcakes!
